Sunny, 29 Degrees, Light West Winds
This morning was a lovely morning for a walk, but I didn’t find much to photograph today. I got up later than normal today (it is Sunday after all) and that meant the sun was higher in the sky than I would have liked. It was a clear morning too, with little atmosphere in the air, so there was little to distinguish any landscape photographs.
I tried shooting a little more of the brush and trees on the upper level. There was snow overnight that was coating a lot of the branches. I thought it might offer a little something different, but nothing looked that great through the viewfinder. We will see what’s there when I do my editing later this morning.
I guess I can’t expect to find wonderful things every single day on this project. In fact, if I found just a single image that was really good each day, I’d have more images than I could possibly use for anything I can imagine. Even a good image every three days would yield more than I could use for an exhibit or book or whatever I might do with them.
I may do nothing with the images anyway. I’ll certainly print and try to sell some of them, but I don’t know whether I’ll try to collect them into something more at any point. I guess that will depend on how I feel at the end of the year. If it’s been a wonderful and revelatory experience then I may, if not, then I won’t.
At the very least, I know this process will have re-awaken my interest in photography, and that’s a good thing.
